A Supportive Strategy
With the need for online mental health services on the rise, and through the collaboration between StudioHawk & Life Supports Counselling, we helped grow the Life Supports website into becoming one of the largest online counselling platforms in Australia. By creating location-specific service pages, and optimising for local SEO through Google My Business listings, we were able to create a platform that helped those in need.

The Need
From the very start, Mahila, the founder of Life Supports, was extremely open to learning and working together with StudioHawk to optimise the Life Supports website. Our ethos is to serve and help, and it was fantastic to be able to grow Life Supports in its efforts to assist people struggling with mental health – improving the lives of people who are in deep need.
Through this close collaboration, we were able to get the Life Supports website ranking on the first page of Google through organic search and helped it become one of the largest online counselling platforms in Australia.

The Plan
When Mahali came to us, we had a clear objective: To create a website that served as a platform for patients and counsellors to connect to one another by: 

  • Improving the site’s page structure by building out location-specific service pages, and reworking and relaunching existing pages
  • Local & GMB optimisation initiative – getting the client involved to capture local presence in SERPs.
  • Internally link pages across the website, focusing on pages around bulk-billing psychology and counselling
  • Provide content recommendations and research on psychology-specific long-tail keywords

The Execution

From our keyword research, we found that there was growing interest in niche subjects such as anger management, relationship counselling, and drug and alcohol counselling – as well as searches around location-specific counselling services.

The Results

Life Supports saw an epic rise hitting first page results and top 3 rankings for a bunch of new keywords. Organic Search Conversions were also up, plus we’ve seen year on year increases for phone calls through organic search (56%), and for form submissions (113%).
