    Launched in early 2025, The Meat Master grew its keyword footprint by over 1,000% in just eight months. This content hub not only boosted organic visibility but also cemented The Meat & Wine Co’s authority in steak, making it the go-to reference in both search and AI-driven results.

    Elevating Location Pages

    Our team went beyond the basics of menu and addresses. Each restaurant page was crafted to tell the full story: parking options, private dining options, dietary considerations, and ambience details. This made it easier for both users and search engines (including AI crawlers) to understand the unique value of each venue. 

    Creating The Meat Master

    By launching a dedicated subfolder on steak expertise, we gave The Meat & Wine Co a powerful tool to own the conversation around meat preparation. Written in collaboration in-house chefs, the content established topical authority while gently guiding readers toward booking a team.  

    Capturing Event Searches

    Through city-focused venue hire pages and event specific subpages, we met customers at the exact point they were searching - whether broadly ("Sydney venue hire") or specifically ("Barangaroo birthday dinner"). This bridged the gap between discovery and decision. 

    Preparing for AI Search

    Smaller details, like parking, group size, and venue styling, were deliberately structured for indelibility, making the brand a reliable citation in AI-driven responses around premium dining and steak expertise.

    Restructuring the site navigation was a critical step in aligning The Meat & Wine Co’s both user intent and search demand. We streamlined categories, prioritised high-value customer journeys like functions and private dining, and ensured menu items were structured around transactional intent.
     
    By surfacing key occasions (birthdays, corporate lunches, weddings) directly in the navigation, we reduced friction for users while signalling to search engines the importance of these revenue-driving pages. The result: a cleaner user experience, stronger crawlability, and improved visibility for high-intent event and dining queries.

    Overcoming Challenges

    The fine dining category is fiercely competitive, with many restaurants vying for the same "steakhouse" and "steak restaurant" terms. The challenge was not just ranking but shaping the dining narrative. 

    By combining evergreen education content with highly localised detail, StudioHawk enabled The Meat & Wine Co to compete on both fronts: immediate transactional searches and longer-term authority in AI-powered discovery.

    The Results

    Organic Bookings 

    The primary KPI for this campaign was to drive +15% YoY increase in organic bookings across all locations which StudioHawk team achieved (and more!). This uplift wasn't just about hitting numbers, by aligning SEO with The Meat & Wine Co's costumer journey, we converted higher organic rankings directly into table reservations and new customer experiences. 
    • +28% overall increase YoY (Jan-Aug 2025 vs Jan-Aug 2024)
    • Sustained momentum: Even in typically slower months like February and March, organic bookings remained significantly higher than the previous year.

     

    Function Space & Large Booking Inquiries 

    A key growth target for The Meat & Wine Co was to expand their share of organic inquiries for private dining and venue hire. The venue hire subfolder saw significant organic growth year-on-year, with multiple city and event-specific pages experiencing triple - and even quadruple-digit increases in traffic conversions. 
    • Sydney venue hire traffic grew +128%, with conversions up to +150%
    • Perth venue hire climbed +64%, with conversions up +64%, with conversions +67%
    • The "functions pack" page skyrocketed +4,900% in sessions and +1,200% in conversions

     

    Expertise in the Steak Category

    Within just eight months, the Meat Master content hub delivered exponential growth in visibility and authority, reinforcing the brand's reputation both in traditional search and emerging AI-driven discovery.

    • Steak-related searches: impressions +91% YoY, clicks up +63%
    • Overall 'steak' keyword profile grew 1079% (Jan-Aug 2025)

     

    Overall Organic Visibility 

    The campaign drove substantial growth in traffic, keyword rankings, and brand visibility across both branded and non-branded searches. 

    • Organic sessions were up +22% YoY
    • Organic clicks in August 2025 grew +22% YoY
    • Organic impressions surged +180% YoY
    • Non-branded clicks +66% and impressions +176.5%
