What does the recruitment process look like?

Once you've sent us your resume and cover letter, you will receive a response from our team regardless of the outcome. If your application catches our eye, our Recruitment Specialist will reach out for an initial chat to get to know you better.

 

From there, you'll be scheduled for a more formal interview with both our Recruitment Specialist and the hiring manager. You can expect questions about your skill set, past experiences, and scenario-based questions.

 

Following that, and depending on the role, you will then be asked to complete a skills assessment - use this opportunity to blow us away with your talent!

 

After one final chat to wrap things up, if everything aligns, you could soon find yourself as the newest Hawk!

Do I need a cover letter?
Absolutely. Introduce yourself to us and give us a taste of who you are, we want to get to know the person behind the CV. Make it interesting and exciting, and be sure you include your favourite hobby so we know you've read the job listing!

What does flexible working look like at StudioHawk?
While we generally do not offer fully remote roles, most positions in our Australian offices are hybrid. This means you’ll have the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays while spending Tuesdays through Thursdays in the office. This setup fosters collaboration while still offering a work-from-home balance.
 
We also offer additional work-from-home days to use throughout the year when you need an extra day at home - for example if you've got a house inspection you want to be home for!

What does onboarding look like?
The onboarding process at StudioHawk is designed to set you up for success from day one - and get you integrated with other team members! While it varies slightly depending on the role, here’s an overview of what to expect:

  • For juniors: A comprehensive six-week boot camp to equip you with the skills and knowledge you’ll need to thrive.

  • For other roles: A structured one-week onboarding and training program to get you up to speed.


During your first week, you’ll also attend a People & Culture Orientation, where you’ll learn about the company’s values, culture, and operations. We’ll send you a welcome letter before you start, outlining your first week to help you feel prepared. Plus, your first week wouldn’t be complete without a welcome lunch to meet your team! Your first 90 days are all about setting you up for success, with support and guidance every step of the way.
